Blood type diets

I have found something to try and follow come the New Year. I see some faults in this so called blood type diet. I'm willing to give it a try not  much of a diet I should say just keeping on the right track I guess. Take a look what is your blood type? I'm AB negative 1 in 167 people has my blood type. It's not in stock if I need it. I found out I'm prone to alien abduction and I can't be cloned ever. Something to think about. First I would like to hope I don't get taken by any green aliens. I will try and convince them I will help them blend in our world.

The AB blood type is thought to be more complicated than the other blood types.

1. Meats to Avoid

This blood type does not have sufficient stomach acid for digesting and metabolizing animal protein. Meats to be avoided by this blood type include chicken, beef, ham, pork, veal and bacon. Recommended protein sources are lamb, rabbit, mutton, turkey, tofu and a wide range of seafood. I don't see myself eating rabbit since I had at one point 19 as a pet with all names. Tofu is really nasty to me but I will try it again. I'm a seafood lover! Mutton not now or ever!

Chicken is especially problematic for this blood type because it contains lectin in its muscle tissue that can potentially lead to autoimmune disorders. Turkey can be used to replace chicken as it does not have the same effect. This is great my favorite food is turkey now I have an excuse to cook a turkey not just for Thanksgiving.  I will now tell my hubby its good for my blood. (Laughing)

2. Dairy Products and Health Issues

Individuals with Type AB blood are prone to mucus excess.(gross) If this is your blood type, watch for sinus attacks, (yes I can sneeze 10 tens before I stop. Laughing) respiratory issues or ear infections.(No,not really) In that case, you may want to cut out specific diary foods such as butter, American cheese, whole milk, provolone cheese and Parmesan cheese.(Milk may be hard I love it)

3. Type AB Blood and Wheat Products

Type AB individuals should limit their consumption of wheat products. This is especially the case if weight loss is an issue or if you are prone to mucus production. Occasional consumption of wheat products is okay. Better replacements include rye, rice and oats.(I can do this no problem.I really don't eat it anyways)

4. Fruits to Avoid

Although most fruits are healthy for this blood type, a few should be avoided. Mangoes, bananas and guava, for example, are on the avoid list. Oranges are especially forbidden for this blood type because they irritate the stomach. Grapefruits may be eaten in place of oranges; they have an alkalizing effect in the body after they have been digested. I never had a problem with the fruits above but never paid attention to it either.

5. Vegetables to Avoid

Type AB individuals may eat a wide range of vegetables. The ones on the list of foods to be avoided create an acidic condition in the body. The specific vegetables to avoid include avocados,(What? This one is insane I love me some  guacamole) lima beans, radishes, artichokes, green peppers, red peppers and yellow corn.

6. Oils to Eliminate

The highly beneficial oil for this blood type is olive oil. The oils to avoid include corn oil, cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil and safflower oil. The oils that have a neutral effect on the body for this blood type are canola oil, peanut oil and linseed oil.

With all this new information to sink in for 2013 I may or may not try. Do you know your blood type?

Christmas Lights in St.Pete

On Christmas Eve we took our boys to see some Christmas lights. This house is amazing! It was well worth our time to go. Just thought I would share. He does this each year on his own he does ask for donations. Which we did give a fair share just because we really liked it. I hope it is there next year.

All Petitions | We the People: Your Voice in Our Government

Watching the news today waiting for my workout shake to kick in I came across something that really upset me. In New York they meaning the internet you can go type in someone's name to see if they own a gun. Some paper as well has put it out there for the world to see. Now, what happened in Newtown is something no one seen coming. I don't agree or approve of my name or anyone's else name out there at a key stroke for a criminal to target my house because I own not one but many guns. I'm a wife of a Marine. Of course he made me take classes to be able to defend myself and children. I would rather explain to a police officer why a man in my house has a whole in his chest instead of him explaining to my husband and children that I was rape and murder. My children know what guns are they know we have them. My guns are locked up my oldest knows they are not toys. He knows what it sounds like since he was little. Gun safety is number one in our household. I strongly believe any woman especially with children should carry and own a gun. To protect their family at all cost. Now, if you are mental ill or just not right in the head there should be no way you could own a gun. Criminals names should be published that have broken in houses, stolen, beat ,rape women and children, assaulted the Elderly what about letting the world know you are a criminal? Let's do that instead! They have done much worst then any gun owner has or ever will. This is a shock to me as the world. What has this world come to? What is on the internet now is already to much just Google yourself you will see. Putting gun owners names out there is stepping to far. What are your thoughts?

Christmas was fantastic!

Christmas this year has been the best one yet. It was our first Christmas in our PJ's all day without a care in the world. I think my oldest has more then enough to keep him busy after Santa made the bar for gifts a little high with a PS Vita, games for it,legos that glow, bey blades not like the 50 he had was enough and my favorite book with plenty of other things.Hubby and I replaced his playstation that was ruin this summer in Tallahassee along with a tablet. I think Justin will be busy until school starts back up. Christopher loved the train set and had a blast putting Mickey the cat in his play kitchen oven. He thought it was the most hilarious thing ever. Mickey got him back by detailing his train over and over. Although I miss my family back home it was nice for a change for just the four of us.  We ended the night with a movie "Trouble with a curve" by the way is a really good movie. It's a must see if you like baseball. We are thinking about taking a trip back to New York next year to see the ball drop maybe even spend Christmas there to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. That will be a little insane with all the extra people there for the holidays. Just a reminder no stroller this time. The streets of New York are not made stroller friendly we learn that last time. Maybe a baby carrier/backpack of some sort to carry Christopher in will be just fine with me. Overall my boys made out this year with Christmas. I can't even walk in their room. We didn't forget others like a man on Christmas Eve who was out on a street corner with a sign that read "NEED HELP FATHER OF THREE TO PAY RENT TONIGHT." I cried instantly as I pulled out money my hubby was on top of it as well. Justin didn't forget about our troops he sent them coffee with his own money and we matched it to make sure they would have something on Christmas. We will send them some girlscouts cookies too. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas this year may all your hopes and dreams come true.

Christmas Night

The night is quiet expect Mickey the cat who is attacking the gifts as Santa puts them under the tree. This year is coming to an end with gifts and toys. Maybe a new brother or sister in the coming month still to soon to tell. My hubby and I made a new family tradition this year as Santa made a pit stop to our house to drop off a Christmas book to read before he comes back to rest with a glass of milk and a plate of cookies. A green pepper is sliced in eight pieces for the reindeer. Tonight was the only night my son kept telling us he needed to go home from our trip to see Christmas lights in St. Pete. He had a hot date with his bed from what I heard with his pillow. Justin always makes me laugh. His face was shining bright when I put him to bed. He awaits the man who has taken on the role of Santa. The stockings are filled the little tree our boys picked out is packed tight. Now its time to walk to my bed to fall fast asleep as it will not last long. Morning will soon be here. The best part is yet to come! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Restaurants

It never fails at any restaurant we go to we end up telling off our server. It doesn't matter if its a upscale restaurant in Panama City at the Holiday Inn or Olive garden weather its here in Florida,Pennsylvania,Michigan or Alabama.
Carrabbas Italian Grill,Outback or the last place we went to Estela's Mexican Restaurant they all seem to have the samething in common. They serve over my two year old head. When he was just a baby I thought we were going to jail. For the fact is the server almost droped a pot of coffee on him. My hubby and I both stood up I put myself over my baby while my hubby took it from the waiter. I have never seen my hubby mad like he was then. All we got was a sorry then he almost dropped a plate on another baby across from us. That couple left in the right to. I don't know about you but it should be a no brainer don't put anything over a baby or child's head. Every restaurant we have been to something happens. We now use a booster seat so Christopher is in the middle of one of us. We have been doing this since last May. It has worked out very well. We no longer have a heart attack when we go out to eat which is once a week. It's our way to treat our family. We can enjoy our food instead of wondering if something will happen.  What have you found to bug you when you go out to eat? Please let me know what else to look for.

Sugar

People want their sugar and sweets everyday. It's a game once you have something sweet you want more. Artificial sweeteners are ten times sweeter then plain old sugar. It is also linked to weight gain. If I have to have sugar in my coffee I will use cane sugar unbleach. It won't ruin  your diet to have something sweet this Christmas. My choice is eggnog. I love eggnog. When I buy it guess what? It's all mind no one else seems to like it. Homemade eggnog is the best with a hint of rum. Yummy a family recipe I will post soon. Christmas time slam with the New Year around the corner keeping up on your workout routines I know will be a challenge. Keep in mind don't go overboard take a sip or a cookie but know when to stop. Have fun still Bring It everyday. "Do your best and forget the rest." - Tony Horton
I workout for me and me only.

Instagram Accounts

http://money.cnn.com/2012/12/18/technology/social/instagram-sell-photos/ Instagram shocked users with an update to its terms of service that will let the company sell users' photos to other companies. I'm not sure I want my pictures to be sold by Instagram without credit given for taking them. I think I will take my business elsewhere. Just a heads up to delete your account by Jan 16 if you don't want your pictures sold. I have been thinking about doing the same with Facebook as well. I'm not sure what are your thoughts on the whole social networking?

Morgan Freeman

http://elitedaily.com/elite/2012/morgan-freeman-shares-thoughts-tragic-shooting-sandy-hook/

If you read what Morgan Freeman says for me it hit a spot. I remember the shooting in1999. For those who don't know On April 20, 1999, in the small, suburban town of Littleton, Colorado, two high-school seniors, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, enacted an all-out assault on Columbine High School during the middle of the school day. The boys' plan was to kill hundreds of their peers. With guns, knives, and a multitude of bombs, the two boys walked the hallways and killed. When the day was done, twelve students, one teacher, and the two murderers were dead; plus 21 more were injured. The haunting question remains: Why did they do it?

Morgan has a point I don't know any of the victims names. I feel lost with being hit with that fact. I was in 10th grade. I remember even more now since my son asked if anything like Friday' s school shooting happen when I was in school? The fact that the answer was yes is even more disturbing. My stomach has been in knots since this morning when I took him to school. Part of me didn't want to let go of him. My hubby called me me a dozen times just to talk because he was worried too. I must have kissed Justin a dozen times before I let him go. An hour before I had to pick Justin up a bullet was found on a school bus at another school in our area. His school was on lock down. On top of the phone call we received last night letting all parents know that  police will be station outside all schools till the end of the year. My heart drop to the floor. I called the school and was told everything was fine. I have never felt better when I did get to see my son in person. My heart goes out to everyone today who have to make plans to lay their child down for the last time. Please pray for all the families that have lost a child.

Victoria Soto

Victoria Soto, 27, a first-grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., ushered her students into a closet and in so doing placed her body between them and the assailant.

She was a very brave women. God Bless her. It's sad that among fire drills and homework you have to worry about some crazy person walking in your school with a gun. When something like this happens its hard to believe in God. For me at least I know bad things happen all the time. I will never understand why he let these children die. My son is nine I did not find out about the shooting until I picked him up from school. I was homeschooling him with a lot of talking to my hubby we made the choice to put him back in public school. My son asked to go back we now live in a neighborhood with school age children. They have been asking him when he was going to come to school. I just talked to Justin about what to do if someone came in his school with a gun two weeks ago. Just two weeks ago we sat down as a family and talked about this. I turned on the news Friday my heart dropped to the floor. What has this world come to? My son asked me "Why would someone do that?"
I turned my head I admit I choked up. Looking at my nine year old son I bush away my tears "My son bad things happen to good people. Even kids the best way to go on is to remember them ,not the bad guy."
It was a conversation my hubby and I had that night with our nine year old son. Explaining the Evil in the world is the worst when the victims are the same age as your child. If you are a parent you know what I mean. I can only hope this will stop in the future. My heart and prayers goes out to everyone.

Problem with being a Donor

There is always a need for a child in a person or couples life. That overgrown need to bear a child of your own seems to be strong among women.I never knew of this pain until I lost a child of my own.
I'm in the process of writing a book about about my experience of being Jennifer Smith 180. Jennifer Smith 180 is not my real name but to many couples that is the name on the eggs I donated to them. The thought of my egg with another sperm who is not my hubby I have to admit is strange. I joked with my hubby at least I will know what my child would look like black, with red hair and all the many different traits a child can carry on from the biological parents. I guess what I did was a great thing to do but the reason I became a donor was brought upon making a choice not to have any more children. I took a pregnancy test this past Thursday which was negative. To my surprise I really wanted to be pregnant. It's in our nature to love a child. I have been overcome by a set of emotions I never took the time to look at. I received a call to donate again. I' m not sure what I will say to my hubby. I love to be able to give a couple the chance to have children like I did all four times before. This time writing this book I think I have to deal with my emotions first. Look for my book in the coming year.

Christmas Town @ Bush Gardens

My adorable hubby took us out to eat and the plan was to drive around to look at Christmas lights.I was getting homesick. Every year since Justin was little we always take a drive around the city to look at the decorations people put on their houses for Christmas. It's kind of one of our family traditions. Nope to my surprise we went to Bush Gardens Christmas Town. It's just like him to do this without telling me. It was very beautiful inside. The palm trees where all decked out in blue lights. As well as the entire town was just beautiful.  I wouldn't want to be the person who has that job some of the trees are huge.We seen an ice skating show that blew us away with the grace of the skaters. We all had a blast but for being Michigan people who have seen snow it was okay. I mean Justin didn't want to stand in line for over an hour to throw a snowball. It kind of seems silly. I'm amazed by how many people live here in Florida and have never seen snow. It's the little things in life that make a person happy. It was a great experience we were over joy by the Christmas cheer on the train. If you rode the train you had to sing. Everyone at Bush Gardens were very nice and cheerful. We shared hot coco took in the beauty of Christmas in Florida. If you have kids it is a great place to go see Santa ride some rides and throw a snowball. Take pictures with Elmo,Big Bird and Cookie Monster. Make sure you ride the train with the kids I think that was the best part of it all. Christopher has this love for lights its almost unexplained. I think its cute  he goes crazy for flash lights and trains. Seeing my children smile, laugh and sing just melted our hearts. We have came so far in a short time I'm proud of us all no telling what will be next. Merry early Christmas .
