My Household

Today has been a busy day for us. Justin cut the grass for seven dollars it would have been ten if he did all the front, back and sides.  He didn't do one side of the house then  negotiated his price. I said"yes to his offer."
He was too cute not to say yes.  We made slime today after lunch. Then showers are  a must. http://lifeisonlywhatyoumakeit.blogspot.com/2013/06/reviews.html

We went to the park for some fun in the sun afterwards Ice Cream at McDonalds. They turned out not eating it instead played in the playground. I think we were there for awhile waiting for the storm to pass. It happen to be either McDonalds or a bar to get out of the storm. I thought the kids would like it better at the kids zone of fat. As you can see they had fun making all kinds of new friends. It never amazes me how quick my children make friends anywhere. It's great they have that gift. I still hate climbing inside those dame tubes.  A little shopping for projects at the house. Now my hubby and I will have a small movie night after our boys fall asleep. It has been a fun filled day. How was your Saturday?

What do you think about?

What runs through your mind as your feet hit  the treadmill?

I walk up to the treadmill with ten minutes in my mind. I put my headphones in find my play list on my phone that contains songs from Shinedown, Nikki Minaj, Disturbed, Korn and some old school mix. Just about anything with a good beat that will keep me running. I press the quick start button on the treadmill it starts to move. I put in my weight and age start my heart rate watch as I walk slowly to fast pace up to three minutes then I increase my incline from one to 4 my speed from 4.0 to 4.7. At 30 seconds I speed up to 5.4 I'm in run mode one two three breathe one to three breathe as my feet hit the ground. I count my steps to breathe over and over in my head as I continue to run. I'm at five minutes I look up and over the treadmill I see a stop sign. I try and run to reach it but I can't. I see it in the distance as I continue to run faster I hit the speed to 6.2 I increase the incline to a 5 as I take a drink of water. Running up hill sucks as the thought passes my mind I want to stop. I can feel the burn in my legs I run harder and faster I increase again my speed is at 6.5. I let my mind wander about how good I will feel after I complete this run. I just completed a mad leg workout lifting weights for my legs  now as I run they feel like they are going to fall off. One two three breath in the nose out the mouth, I have to remind myself to breath its almost over. I look down the clock says 6 point something minutes. For My Sake song by Shinedown plays in my ear. I run a little faster the thought of having a nice butt hits my mind I smile because I like my butt it has a little bounce I never had before and it's almost round from my extreme squats I make myself take on daily. My hubby likes my backside so I tell myself keep running a nice butt is on the way I Fedex it. Go Go Go run now or you won't get that "ASS!" by 3 o'clock. I make myself laugh at what I will tell myself just to keep me running. It's okay now I'm at 7 minutes I really want to stop now my legs are shaking like crazy okay let's go my old school mix of 69 boys comes on the radio with other songs from the 90's hit's my ear. I get my second wind of air and it's like the pain disappears. I'm running at 7.0 now I feel great! One two three breath my heart rate is at 167 I'm in my zone yes  I wipe my face off as the sweat just pours off my body. I tell myself just a little longer keep going it will pay off in the end. I will look great in my new purple two piece this weekend at the beach. Not that I'm not sexy but running will bring the Sexy Back. Yes, I have a ego when it comes to my looks. I have always had I mean if I don't tell myself I'm sexy whatever my hubby's says won't matter. I have to believe it myself.

Thinking to myself

I'm going to have a nice ass!
I'm going to be fit!
I'm going to look good naked for a workout session with my hubby!
I'm going to look good in clothes!
I think I'm going to die if I keep running!
GO,GO,GO! MOVE!
You better move those legs woman.
Nice ass nice ass go go go!
Bathing suit Bathing suit here I come just walking on the beach!
Just breath, breath and breath some more.

These are just a few things I tell myself when I run. When I'm having one of those days when I think I might stop no telling what will appear in my mind as I run. The one thing I don't know how to do is give up. To me that doesn't exist. If you want something you have to fight for it even if that means fighting yourself to reach your goal. You are your own worst enemy.

I look at the clock I'm at 15 minutes not bad I start to slow down to let my heart rate drop slowly. I walk for the next five minutes and slowly get down to 3.0 to stop. I had a nice run I can be proud of. I push myself to the extreme at every workout. I run for me I run for my health I run to clear my mind sometimes my mind is blank for the next 10 or 20 minutes I run. I have a goal of fitness I want to be at I won't stop till I get there.
This is what I think about. It's your turn to run tell me what's on your mind.

Today & Yesterday

Have you ever had one of those days? Today I guess was my day. Being a mom is always busy.Today was a lot of fun doing paperwork to get my passport to go to Niagara Falls dealing with Mr.Christopher who is in the post office yelling at the top of his very healthy lungs "Mommy!" over and over. Everyone and  their Momma was looking at me. Did I leave? Nope, I was there to get a passport. I was staying to finish it only to have the guy behind the counter tell me they don't do interviews on Mondays I would have to come back.
I asked Christopher " Hey, son please use your inside voice please."
Christopher says laughing " NO, Mommy."
I ask him again "Why are you screaming?"
Christopher yells " I'm crazy!" Shaking his head and hands kind of like that kid in the commercial where they are all sitting around the table talking to the man in the suit asking questions. I couldn't help but laugh it was funny as can be. I didn't get mad at him he is a child unlike the lady who says to me " I wouldn't be seen with that kid. Just wait till he is older criminal." As she walks away.
Me laughing " I doubt my son will be a criminal because he is being crazy right now. He is two and by the way the line moved you lost your spot." As I yell " NO cuts!" All eyes on me I continue to fill out my paperwork and ask my questions about how to get our boys passports. Did you know that you have to have it okay by both parents before you leave the country? So with that note I have to wait till my hubby can come to sign the paperwork with me or have the paperwork the post office gave me to  notarized with my hubby signature. Then he doesn't have to be there for both kids. It's Canada! Who is going to run away to Canada  (Laughing) I don't know but because people have just like the warning notice on a hair dyer that says "Don't blow dry your hair while standing in the shower!" Who did that and why would you?(Laughing)

We leave the post office to go grocery shopping well we walked into the aisle way to get tomatoes. Yup, You guess it Christopher started it all over again. I went and got the things I needed. Once we made it to the checkout he says" Mommy, I love you!" He has a very cute voice. He was having an off day. He is never like that.

He was quiet in the car on the way to the YMCA. He was sleeping that's why no complaints here gave me a rest. He loves to go play with the kids in the kids zone it's like a daycare while I workout. I ran for 30 minutes burned 350 calories then I worked my legs and back. I was exhausted by the end. I love this YMCA Justin can come workout with me. It's nice to spend time just the two of us. I took a brake from working my thighs to take a picture of him on the bike which he burned 13 calories. He was really excited showing me his muscles. I think we will continue this just like our Coffee Day Friday which is where we drink coffee but his is decaffeinated.

Have you ever had an off day like my two year old please tell me about it.

Mother's Day was the best ever we killed a snake. I hate snakes!
I took a video which is on facebook thanks to my hubby we were saved from the snake getting into the house. I love the ocean but the creatures that live here I'm not sure about.

We didn't do as much as I wanted to in the garden after the run in with the snake. My wonderful hubby and boys took me out for a late lunch/dinner at Chili's before we took our boys to see Iron Man 3.  It's been awhile since we went to the movies. It's something my hubby and I have always liked to do since we have been together. It was $54.00 for all of us to go with popcorn and pop. I was in shock like OMG! Are you kidding me? Wow, times have changed since last April. I think that was the last time we went. We still have date night at home. It's more entertaining at home. (laughing) We can do so much more than you can in a theater. Not that we haven't but that was when we were younger! (I kill me with the things I can freely talk about) That stuff is for another blog.

I think this movie was AWESOME! Christopher did very well for his first time.

This was at the start of the movie. He was really into it! He is growing up so fast I want to stop him. Both my boys. This won't be his last time going. I am very proud to be a mother to both my children. They are the reason I am who I am today. I love you guys. My hubby made it a special one just like any other day he always makes me feel like his Queen. I'm such a lucky lady to have people care about me like my family does. Have a bless day to anyone and everyone who is reading.

Happy Mother's Day to all

The celebration of  Mother's Day began in the United States in the early 20th century; it is not related to the many celebrations of mothers and motherhood that have occurred throughout the world over thousands of years, such as the Greek cult to Cybele, the Roman festival of Hilaria, or the Christian Mothering Sunday celebration. Despite this, in some countries Mother's Day has become synonymous with these older traditions.

Take a second and pick up the phone to call your mother. Today is the day to celebrate yourself go eat that piece of cake or in my case my chocolaty protein bar. Yummy! Have a wonderful  Day our family is heading out to do some yard work for my garden today. We will go to the park maybe even go see Iron Man 3. I'm a comic book lover beside that is the only thing Christopher will watch right now. I need a change I can recite
Iron Man 1 &2 by heart now.
Thanks for reading.

Mangoes

What kind of fruits do you like? I like any kind of fruits. My love for fruits and veggies grew stronger with my second child. My hubby being the best daddy in the world already with our first son made sure I was eating right meaning five servings of fruits and veggies daily. I tell you he was such a pain how he hovered over me. I have to admit I loved the extra attention he gave not that it was anything different from before. I did get a kick out of not having to get up to get  my decaff ice tea.  I have him to thank for a healthy pregnancy. He made sure we were taken care of. I think he should go to school to be a doctor. He is kind with people in the hospital when I was hospitalized for dehydration a few times. It was nice to see his caring side but he has to blow things up instead. That's my Marine! (laughing) He is so unpredictable at times. I love it! What I know is he will do anything for our family. He is a strong role model for our boys.

Some facts about one of my favorite fruits I grew to love while I was pregnant with my Popsicle. Mangoes smoothies are the best!

Clears skin
Mangoes help to clear clogged pores and make your skin acne free. You can treat these problems effectively either by consuming mangoes or by applying them to your face. You can find many beauty products containing mango in them. You can also make mango scrub at home by mixing mango pulp and oatmeal.

Improves Digestion
Like papayas, mangoes are also good for the digestive system. It promotes proper assimilation of the nutrients in the body. The fiber contents found in them prevents constipation.

Effective for Diabetes
Mango fruit ranks low on the glycemic index i.e. 41 to 60, so a moderate consumption of the fruit would not do any harm to the diabetic patients. Further the leaves of the mango tree can help regulate the insulin levels. Take a few leaves of mango tree and boil them in water, leave them soaked in this water over night and then strain and consume this water in the morning.

My Favorite Mango smoothie
1 cup of peach yogurt
1 mango
2 cups of milk ( I use almond milk for a kick of change)
1 banana

Cinco de Mayo

What is Cinco de Mayo?On Cinco de Mayo, Mexicans remember the Battle of Puebla, fought on May 5, 1862. On that day, Mexicans won an important battle against the French army, which was invading Mexico. September 16, Mexico's Independence Day, is a bigger holiday in most of Mexico than Cinco de Mayo.Cinco de Mayo is surprisingly NOT a national holiday in Mexico, although it's a local holiday in Puebla. Here in the states let face it's just another day for Mexicans to drink!!!! (laughing)

I keep this holiday very much alive more since I have had kids. After all I am a Sexy Mexican! I may have to pull my dress out when we dress up.  I wore the dress in the picture for my Popsicle first birthday. He had a Halloween party I was a Senorita. My boys and I will make some homemade salsa, tacos and guacamole.Thinking about going to the beach if it doesn't rain.  We will then decorate the house make some crafts like maraca's. We can't forget the dancing  the salsa or the Mexican hat dance to a mariachi band. To bad we won't be able to see my famous cousin's sing. They are in a Mariachi band. The kids love this last part hitting a pinata but I don't fill it all with candy. I fill it with money and toys since my boys don't really care too much for candy. To end our fabulous day the hubby and I will drink a Margarita. He likes to sing when he has a little to much. I might just YouTube it this time. Shush don't say anything. If I get it I will post it! (Laughing)

How do you celebrate Cinco De Mayo?

A city has many stories

Every wonder why people stay in the same city, town and state their whole life? I recently made a unexpected trip to Michigan last week. On my way I seen just about everything on the side of the freeway like a table, shoes, clothes, four dead deer, tires, a rat crossing the highway. I was given the bird more times than I can count driving the speed limit which by the way no one follows. I guess it's a plus growing up in the same place. You know everyone and your way around. I don't mind a road trip since we have been in Florida as long as I have a full tank of gas to get me around when I get lost. It turns out to be fun by stopping by places we would have never found otherwise.

Driving through downriver looking at the few stores that have changed made me realize how it was very much the same a year ago when I left.  Don't get me wrong I love being back home It was just time for me to leave when I did. I drove past my old high school in Lincoln Park as I was getting off the highway.

"Look Jay there is where I went to school!"

"Is that the school Daddy went to too?" Justin asked

"NO, Baby he went to Monroe High a totally different city in itself but we won't go there."

"Wow, Mom I can't believe it's still open!" Justin says smiling

"Thanks Jay I feel old now!"

"Anytime mom but on the bright side you don't have gray hair." He says laughing

Only my son can make what was an uneasy feeling about seeing my old high school turn out to be a happy moment. Man, I love him!
Old book store that still stands which was my favorite place to be after school.

Driving down Fort street I can see myself walking to work back in the day as my son would say. The hardships of living on my own in high school came across my mind. I still don't have a clue how I paid for everything on my own such as rent and food. I had a great friend back then that I talked to all the time. He was such an easy person to talk to as I was able to get to know him. He would always appear out of nowhere when I least expected it. It was complicated back then but I made it on my own. I went pass  the place I spent most nights at shooting pool with friends. Vito's were I ate the most greasy pizza ever. I drove pass my first apartment which is now painted a neon blue color. It looks horrible it was white when I lived there in 1996. My first Martial Arts school that is now a retail shop. I had a lot of wonderful times there. I made life long friends with. I guess now that I'm back in Florida it seems like a lifetime ago. It's nice to know I'm still the same person I just like to travel now to see the world.

We meet family and friends at Chuck E Cheese in Southgate for one last time before we left. We had a great time even if I did come back with two fish instead of kids. We went swimming at the hotel everyday. Our boys acted as if they never swim. It's too funny since we live right by the beach now. Coming back to Michigan a year later really made me think about life. How much I have changed as a person but very much stayed the same like the city. Lincoln Park definitely has my story good and bad.

I'm proud of who I have become today. I have a life I adore. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Friday, April 19

Our walk today.

Went to the park today and this is what we came up with.
Christopher loves to go to the park. I love just hanging out with my two year old. Being a stay at home mommy I get to take little adventures daily with my son. I used to do the same-thing when my oldest was his age. It's relaxing to come up with things to do. Next Friday I will know for sure or not if we are taking a trip back home. I can't wait to see how this week goes by.  The 27 hour drive I'm not looking forward to.
We are looking for flowers. I don't know why but ever since I gave him a flower about a month ago. He has an obsession with them now. He will pick them and give them to me to smell.

Christopher is now getting ants and putting them on his arm.

Don't know if you can see it but a bird is standing there looking at us.
A shell from a horseshoe crab I think. It was a beautiful day today. We sat at the picnic table watching the waves. I love the ocean it's were I was meant to be.

The moments that last forever

The moments that last forever are the ones you remember it could be small insufficient time that put the most impact on your life. This is one of those moments for me. Wednesday my adorable hubby changed my brakes it only took 20 minutes to do it but just watching him work makes me appreciate him more. He is my handyman! Then it was time to wash  our vehicle's. Our boys love it as you can see my Popsicle is elbow high in soap on the left. Our truck is huge but you know men and their toys. My hubby is so easy to please it made his day when our boys said they would help. Then again anything to be with Daddy our boys don't care as long as they are with him.

I love this picture the most!
This  makes me laugh my hubby had to get a ladder to wash the top. He thought it was funny to soak me with the hose. Christopher then took over for him. It was a lot of fun to just have family time it didn't even seem like it was work.

Now they are both nice clean and shinny! They smell vanilla fresh!
We made a cake for daddy. He has a sweet tooth for cake. It was a great day ending the night watching the stars. These little moments mean a lot not just to our boys but to us. They are growing up so fast I never know what the next day will hold. I think it's great my hubby spends as much time as he can to make sure he is here for our boys.  Living in a neighborhood I don't see any parents with their kids. Most are left home alone on our block or they have found my place where Justin befriends anyone.  I have a house full of at least 20 kids if not more on school days. I don't seem to mind it's always an adventure during the day. Take the time out to just be still like broccoli take a second to take a deep breath and smile. This is the life enjoy it!

Making a Jet pack

www.pinterest/aquariummomma

I was looking up a  few crafts online to do with my toddler. When I came across a jet pack.

First thing first I took the little backpack  Christopher was mailed with his books I ordered him and cut it. Leaving the straps on. Make sure you leave the back of the backpack the way it came. Just cut off the front. You can buy these at any retail store.
Step 2:  I took two 2 liter pop bottles empty and washed out of course. I hot glued them to the backpack.
Step 3: I spray painted them gold. I just bought some from Walmart. Any will do whatever color you want. Let it dry and repaint  if you need to.
Step 4: After the bottles dried I put some cloth at the end of the bottles to make it look like fire.
Christopher had a blast acting like he was flying. He is now into The Little Einsteins on Disney. Which made this jet pack special. That show is absolutely adorable for a  little one to watch.

Things you should say everyday

It's hard being a mother no doubt. You get tired , cranky  and crabby. There is never enough time in a day to do what you need.  If you where in your children's shoes what would you want to hear from your parents? I made a list of ten things you should say to your little one's everyday. Life is like an open door to whatever you want. In order to get there you have to take a chance with life itself. Believe in yourself and above all believe in God or whoever you pray to.
1) I love you! - It may seem simple to say but it means a lot to a child. A child needs to hear you say those words. Say it as you cook dinner,on a walk ,playing a game. Say it just because. My son and I have always said (I love you to the moon and back.)
2) I'm proud of you! -  No matter what my children do in life I will always be proud of them. I tell my boys if you try no matter what happens I'm here for you.
3) You are special - Every child is special. Find something everyday that makes your child special (even if it is just because they are YOURS) and tell them about it.
4) It's okay. - Honestly, a lot of things my kids do is okay. It's okay to have a off day. They are kids I mean how grown up do you want them to be. I always tell my boys that its okay to have a cookie. If they dropped  a plate of food its okay not the end of the world.
5) Yes! - Kids hear "No."all the time tell them yes once a day when you know you will say "No" it will help you give them space to grow.
6) How about now? - Don't put things off till tomorrow  do it today.
7) That's a great idea! -  Let your kids know how great that thought they had at dinner was. Be spontaneous do something different. Maybe go to the next step and create it.
8) I love spending time with you! - Believe it or not, your kids would rather have you spend an hour reading, drawing, laughing, snuggling, playing, cooking, building, learning, teaching, racing, throwing, catching, swinging and smiling than anything that you can buy them. Best of all - it doesn't cost a penny! Each day spend some time with you kids and then tell them how much you love spending time with them, it will mean more than you can imagine! At least 30 minutes a day  and see where you go from there. Act out a book or plan a zap zone in your house. It will be fun. I just made a reading fort for my boys.
9) Will you help me? -  Kids love to help out. They need to feel needed by mom and dad. My hubby always let's our boys unpack the car with him. If he is working around the house our boys are right there. It may take a little longer but well worth it. I always let my kids help in the kitchen to help me cook. It may be a giant mess really but it's fun. My son Justin and I have been doing this since he could walk.
10) You make my life complete - Let your children know you enjoy your life now more then before. My Popsicle  is two he completed us and made us whole. My oldest and I kind of grew up together. He showed my hubby and I how to be parents . All you need is love, time and to be patient  with your kids. They are learning just like you as life goes by. One step at a time is all it takes.

                 My Story to Fitness

It will be a year exact on March 31,2013 that I moved to Florida. My hubby as you can tell in this picture is a little stressed out we haven't seen each other in a month before our move. He came down before us to get our house ready. Web chatting with him everyday was cute to see Christopher kiss the screen.

So much has changed in a year I don't know where to start. For one time away from your spouse can make you eat a lot more. My hubby gained 20 pounds in a month. I gained 10 pounds. I would post pictures of my hubby weight loss but he is a little shy when it comes to full body pictures besides he moves to much to get a good picture. I don't know why he is? He is  gorgeous naked. On the other hand I'm not shy at all I love my body even when I was pregnant with both kids. Even with as hairy as my belly was with Christopher I still loved the way I looked in the mirror. I don't think I have ever hated my body image to think about it. I sported a bikini outside almost everyday. I will have to find a picture Christopher is darker then everyone. The picture above I weigh 150 pounds.

I weigh 140 pounds in the last picture
                                                      My timeline for P90X
I'm not going to lie working out is hard work but it's all who you want to be in the first place. I found out the hard way when you don't workout like they show in P90X it's a good thing to take it easy. Nope, I went hardcore with this workout 7 days a weeks everyday by my first week I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die. I couldn't lift anything up let alone walk. It is better to go slow. I'm thankful my loving hubby help me get through that rough patch with encouragement and great back/shoulder massages. I wasn't as fit as I thought even if I did workout before this program and walked five miles daily. It did however get easier as the month went by. I made sure I had my share of water when working out and yes if you take on this program at times you will feel like you have to get sick. It's all normal I guess.  P90X takes you to a whole other level. I'm currently still working out with P90X on top of little programs here and there.Like hip hop abs and soulcycle.

I love this picture above I'm on the beach spending a lovely day with my family in September which is weird I'm still on Michigan time. I look amazing I really start to see a difference in my body that makes me want to work even harder on my health. I restarted juicing in September I did it back in high school only because my friend did it. Turned out I enjoyed it now that I started it up again it is not at all what I remember. It took some time to get used to it. I now love it again. I also get a kick out of having my boys and hubby try my new invention just to see their face. It's priceless to hear my little one say " Gross."

This picture was taken in December 2012 as you can see I'm growing an ego. By Christopher's second birthday I started working out with my hubby at the YMCA lifting weights. I now have muscles everywhere. I love it. My belly is taking a little longer to get my six pack but I have a pack of four. Just one complaint my abs some reason seem to bulge out with the muscles. I'm not sure if I like that. I want to be tone and flat but hey if those muscles get tighter I'm all for it. BRING IT!!
I hate wearing jeans so I really need to find a good store that sells something else. They just don't fit me anymore no matter where I buy them from. I have to take my wedding ring in to get it sized because it keeps coming off. It's getting a little harder to workout because I'm sore all the time. I thought it would easier as I get stronger nope another myth. I love it I really do I have never felt more alive then I do now.

My daily workout routine goes something like this.

Wake up at 4:00 am workout with P90X which is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour long so I don't have to worry about the kids or hubby calling me for something. By 5 I start my squats 100 in a row each day I go up by 10, sit ups 339, push ups 25 I go up by 5 each day and I jump rope. By 5:30 am I'm doing yoga for 30 minutes then I take the time to just relax and stretch. In the evening I hit the gym and lift weights with my hubby. Somewhere in the afternoon I find the time to walk five a day with my boys. I stay as active as I can during the day with my boys and hubby. I always take Sunday off that is our Family Day.

I'm almost to my goal of 135 pounds that was my pre weight from my first son. As of yesterday I weigh 139 pounds. However with all the weight training I have been doing I think I may stay the same weight. If I do I still love my body. Why you may ask because I have taken much pride in the fitness of my body. It's my drug it's what keeps me going beside all the enjoyment I get out of being able to run around with my children. Is the best feeling in the world. Being able to just do anything without having to slow down is wonderful. I also love the fact it's not just about losing weight it's about getting fit with my family. I never say anything about weight in front of my boys. I don't want them to think skinny is a way a woman should be but healthy and fit is the way a person should be.

I'm a fitness freak I guess. I have taken out red meat, dairy and sugar out of my in take of food. I substitute with coconut milk and veggies are my best friend along with daily intake of 80 ounces of water a day.

Not bad  for a  30 year old mother of two. What's your fitness story?

30 on 30 day 9

Lizard chasing  is apart of our daily activities. There are all shapes and sizes which are all Christopher's buddies. Along with his big brothers friends who adore him. Easter is right around the corner and I don't have a clue what we will be doing. My hubby thinks we should go to the beach which is always fun. Christopher and I started a seashell frame  this afternoon. I am also working on a jet pack for him I believe we are on day nine not to much to report.

Day 10

Justin is teaching me how to skateboard with his buddies. I'll let you know how it goes.

Day 11

We took turns racing. Later it was playing cars with Christopher.

Day 12

It was a day full of video games. Of course my nine year old won. I'm not a gamer.

Day 13

Playing sports with my kids may kick your butt at the end of the day but it's a lot of fun.

House madness

I'm sitting outside getting my tan on. Watching my son play with the neighborhood  kids. Christopher is taking a nap in the stroller after our  four mile walk.
Yesterday we played with bubbles again. They seem to be a big hit in my house. I helped my hubby clean the garage. It's amazing what you can find packed away.

Now we will set up for a garage sale for next week. I really don't have a need for a crib, car seat and play pen miscellaneous  baby stuff.  I was so excited to get mail but not what I thought mail from Marine Headquarters is not what I expected.
My hubby has some phones calls to make in the morning.( Update Monday 3/18/13 on those phones calls seems to be what I expected. He is not retired anymore he is on active duty now. I think I will get sick now.) I may be having a heart attack for nothing. My handyman at work on our ceiling fan. We washed our car. Took a walk with Christopher in his hot rod. Took a nap, fix little things around the house, washed clothes, made dinner and watch the UFC fight with my hubby. This is the life I mean its nice to have a house again that we can make our home like back home. It has a lot of potential. How was your weekend?

105 years old

Go friend this wonderful woman on facebook who is 105 years old. I saw her today on Ellen which was a inspiration to me about how she lives her life.

Ellen asked her

'' What is your secret ?"

Edythe replied

" I have a happy marriage. I'm a happy person and if something happens that I can't do anything about it I don't worry about it. "

I love that answer because that is how I live my life. I'm a very happy person in life in general about everything. I show my children daily that its more important  to be happy in life then what you can buy or have. For anyone who knows me "Being Happy" means more to me above anything else. It took my hubby awhile to learn to be happy and let go.  He has a childhood past no child should have. A childhood filled  with pain. A soldier  who has guilt .

He told me
"That he never knew happiness until he meet me."
I'm grateful I was able to show him a better life then what he was living. He has changed so much over the seven years we have been together its amazing. I could tell a change the first week of getting to know him after we met two years before. A whole other side was to be uncovered that he showed me. I love my hubby with every fiber  of my being. He may have faults like everyone else but the difference is I accepted who he is not who he was. I think what has made our marriage so successful  is that we went though a similar childhood. We understood each other in a way that was meant for us. I have never told him " Life,Love,Marriage and kids would be easy. It would always be a challenging no matter who you are." It's how you decide to let the other person in. It's  will and how you fight for what you want that makes a difference.

There are things in life that you have no control over. When that happens you have to just let go. To be happy its doesn't come easy to some its becomes something you learn to do like riding a bike. If you can learn that then everything else will fall into place.

30 Day challenge

30 day challenge for your butt who's with me?
I'm on day six and my butt feels great on top of P90X,walking the neighborhood, running I should have a nice butt my summer.
I don't want a flabby butt so to keep myself and hubby happy. Well more for me I love workingout. I love looking at my progress  in the mirror. Besides when you workout you look good naked. You lose weight to look good in clothes I like both. I have found when I am happy about being naked my hubby and I have a very healthy relationship. We are happy regardless  of what my butt looks like same goes for him. I like his dimples  they are sexy.  Besides activities like that 3 times a day seven days a week seems to burn a few dozen calories and its fun. A new lift is in order for the summer since I'm determined  to go a nude beach  with my hubby.

He is behind me 100%. Lol

Let's see what my butt will look like in 30 days. I'm not sure about before and after shots but hey who knows. My new butt may change my mind.

Lizard chasing

30 on 30 part 2
Day 6
All about bubbles again. My boys are easy to please. Playing at the park is another favorite playtime  they enjoy as well as I do like being a kid again going down the slides.

Day 7

Today it's  lizard chasing time. Lizards are very common here in Florida. There have been a few in my house which causes the cat to go crazy. Christopher doesn't like them but likes to tell us where they are. This is something I didn't forecast  doing. It's still a lot of fun. We always let them go. No lizards were harmed  in this activity!  Sorry I'm blogging from my phone so the pictures are all at the end of my post.
UPDATE: By dinner time I didn't get a picture of Christopher but I did get a video of him. He is now the lizard's best friend. He was calling it his baby using the sign language  he has been learning for over a month. He is too cute!
