A Day full of fun

We decided to take our boys to The  Florida Aquarium. As you walk in you come up to a large tank filled with sting rays. When we were in Panama City Justin touched a sting ray a few times. Both my hubby and son caught many of them fishing but let them go. Today was my first time touching them. I have to admit it took me a few times before I put my Hands in the water. When I did they felt slimy. It was weird yet calming. Our adventure today was amazing. We sat in front of this tank with sharks and tons fish it was breath taking to view these creatures up close. At that very  moment looking over at my boys holding my hubby's hand I realized how bless I am in my family and life.  Living here in Florida has been very easy. I believe it was our best move yet.

Afterwards we took a drive looking at some of the most beautiful houses here in Tampa. I think I found my dream house. We found ourselves at Hogan's Tampa Beach
Restaurants. If you have ever watch wrestling back in the day of course you know who Hulk Hogan is. Turns out he was at his restaurant the day before. The food was good more of a seafood/ beach meanu. Things here in Florida are different like a man walked in half naked while a woman took off her shoes to eat and another one came in without shoes. That would never fly in Michigan. It seem to be more of an adult atmosphere with an outside bar. A place you could play volleyball and it was connected to a hotel. It has been awhile since I had to let someone else park the car with valet parking. It was nice just like I expected with valet parking. It was the same as in downtown Detroit when my hubby would take me to the casino. Which we did often when we lived in Michigan. I still had a fantastic time yesterday. It was amazing to just let go of the week before. Our boys had a blast we ended the night with a movie.
Resident Evil: Retribution was a little intense but you have to watch all the ones before to get this one. A little werid in the start of the movie. Just go pee beforehand or put on pause to make sure you get all the information. It was a all around fun filled day with my family. I loved every minute of it!

Circus In Tampa

IMAG0191.jpg
Ringling Bros B&B Circus came to town. It was the first time as a family to visit it. It was a wonderful time. I haven't had so much fun in my life. It was very different from the small ones that were back home. It cost $155.00 for a family of four Christopher was free plus parking. The place was packed full of life. I still can't believe we spent more on food and drinks then we did on tickets. It's insane but well worth it. The cotton candy was delicious! My hubby came back with a sub that tasted like a Sloppy Joe without the Joe. Christopher ran back and fourth between the seat laughing at nothing and dancing. He has music in his soul!

The Acrobatics were extraordinary the best I have seen yet. Some well most of everything they did at the circus put me on the edge of my seat. The only part I really didn't care for was the tiger part. Don't get me wrong the tigers are beautiful especially the white tigers.

I don't think yelling at the tigers swinging a whip in front of their face is something to cheer about. Yet, I paid to see it along with everyone else. If you stop to think about it for a second I guess it's up there on the scale of being cruel! Which I am not so I didn't get into that part of the show. It's neat to see how they black out parts of the ice rink to set up the next act. Justin was amazed by the whole thing. Christopher only sat still for the glowing necklace we gave him. If I would have remember to grab the glowing hair and toys from New Years Eve we would have save some money not like a ten dollar necklace was going to set us back. From all the pictures we paid for with the food we spent more then our share.

Here are my men happy as can be. They were nothing but a bunch of silliness that night. My hubby looks like the choo choo soul guy from Disney. He is too sexy! Our drive home wasn't far maybe ten minutes tops. We were all thinking we had an hour just a guess. If you have ever been to anything in Detroit you know what I mean. We also had a well deserved date night after we put our boys to bed. We rented the movie "LOOPER" With Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt it was about time travel and yes that is all I will say. This was a movie that will make your head spin with what time travel can do. It's a must watch on my list or a more like a Needham approval.(laughing)

If you want to have some good family time make sure you hit up the Circus when it comes to your town. Until next time have a great night to all my wonderful reader's.

First Night 2013

Across the bay, St. Petersburg is hosting its big, annual alcohol-free First Night event starting around 5 p.m., with kids' activities at the Pier and events all over downtown St. Petersburg. There will be two sets of fireworks at both 9 p.m. and midnight. Musical acts include Suite Caroline and the Vodkanauts on the main stage. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children.

We took the boys for the fireworks but there was so much more to do. It's a carnival/ art fair all in one. We ran across a man who played the drums on five gallon buckets. His name was Chris Harris. He was awesome! I never seen anything like that before especially when he drum one handed. Tons of arts and crafts for children to do like making hats and what not. We stop by to watch the ballet dancers then I sweet talked my way into the Imax Theater to go pee. I had a $20.00 Cappuccino that was awful . I had to settled for that instead of a hot coco. Our waiter looked at me like I was crazy I guess he would after I looked at the  menu $70.00 for a plate I would look at someone the sameway. It's  funny to see how people react in different states. We made a new tradition this year instead of eating 12 grapes and walking around in a circle with our luggage. My favorite of course  wearing white to bring in the New Year clean we wrote down a New Years resolution and a bad memory then burned it. We came across the parents of the lady who put the night event together. I guess this is the third year running. We all liked it very much. 2013 will be the best one yet. I would have never thought our family would be where we are today this time last year. My hubby and I were in downtown in Detroit,MI last New Years Eve. We will continue to live our life to the fullest. It's a no holds bar this year. Happy New Year everyone.

Christmas Town @ Bush Gardens

My adorable hubby took us out to eat and the plan was to drive around to look at Christmas lights.I was getting homesick. Every year since Justin was little we always take a drive around the city to look at the decorations people put on their houses for Christmas. It's kind of one of our family traditions. Nope to my surprise we went to Bush Gardens Christmas Town. It's just like him to do this without telling me. It was very beautiful inside. The palm trees where all decked out in blue lights. As well as the entire town was just beautiful.  I wouldn't want to be the person who has that job some of the trees are huge.We seen an ice skating show that blew us away with the grace of the skaters. We all had a blast but for being Michigan people who have seen snow it was okay. I mean Justin didn't want to stand in line for over an hour to throw a snowball. It kind of seems silly. I'm amazed by how many people live here in Florida and have never seen snow. It's the little things in life that make a person happy. It was a great experience we were over joy by the Christmas cheer on the train. If you rode the train you had to sing. Everyone at Bush Gardens were very nice and cheerful. We shared hot coco took in the beauty of Christmas in Florida. If you have kids it is a great place to go see Santa ride some rides and throw a snowball. Take pictures with Elmo,Big Bird and Cookie Monster. Make sure you ride the train with the kids I think that was the best part of it all. Christopher has this love for lights its almost unexplained. I think its cute  he goes crazy for flash lights and trains. Seeing my children smile, laugh and sing just melted our hearts. We have came so far in a short time I'm proud of us all no telling what will be next. Merry early Christmas .

Colors of Tampa

I have to say the one thing that is very different from Michigan are the colors of the houses. I had a brick house with a red door back home but here a red door is common so I'm thinking a bright orange door. What do you think?  Here are a few pictures now I have seen green, purple and bright pink houses here which is a little out there but hey if that is what you want why not go for it.

Few things I have learned in Florida
1. Don't get a divorce in Florida you will be stuck in paying two households for life.( A friend I made here let me she what her hubby or ex has to still do even now they are divorce. Shows him. lol)
2. Bugs here are gross. They fly are. Are the size of my two years old hand.
3.Clean with bleach and vinegar to keep bugs out.
4.You must learn Spanish or you will be lost.
5. Carpet does not exsite here it's all tile.
6. The light switches are not where they are suppose to be.
7. The way you turn the water on the handles are backwards.
8. It's warm all the time.
9. People here seem mad all the time. I don't know why.

Arabian Nights in Orlando Florida

If you like horses this post is for you.My hubby and I took a night off  to take the boys to go see Arabian Nights. It's a horse show with 50 beautiful horses. I have been to horse racing but never a horse show where they do tricks on the back of these horses. The tickets were $70 for adults and $30 for children free under 3. As you walk in you pass through the store and then a huge section where there is belly dancing, salsa, chips and ton of people to talk to. It's set up just like a hockey stadium just with tables. Dinner was included in the price along with a drink special for those who chose to get a little alcohol in their system. Each section has their own server. The lady who was taking care of the people behind us kept hitting me with her butt.(laughing) Overall I have to say the show  was magical to see these horses in action. Justin had a blast I wish I could say that about Christopher. He was a mile a minute I wouldn't take small kids under five it was a little boring looking at it from their point of view.

We paid to go in the stables after the show since Justin has been asking to buy a horse for over a year now. We are looking to buy 20 acers buy next year if everything goes right with the bank since this will been the first time. We paid for our house back home in cash. It was nice not to have to go through a bank since the economy was or is bad. It  would be a huge step to take on not just that but horses. I wanted to see myself what it was like. More then I thought for sure it would been around the clock job.We walked back in the stables where the Native American  horse was getting a bath from his show they painted him. It  was one of my favorite parts of the show including the unicorn act as well.  I will post a video as soon as I get my computer. Sorry for the picture being sideways I'm blogging from my phone with the new updated version of blogger. I think I like the the other version better. Anyhow here is a link http://www.arabian-nights.com its worth going to if you are a horse lover. Check it out the next time you pass by Orlando Florida. It is more than worth your time and money.
