Statistics
show that over 3 million children witness domestic violence in their
homes each year, and those who see and hear domestic violence
suffer physically and emotionally. Domestic violence and celebrities is so
dangerously out of control, but it is easy to understand why the media focuses
on the celeb rather than the issue of violence or the innocent children these
celebrities are hurting. Gossip and ratings.
It doesn’t matter if
you are rich, poor, white, black famous or the average Joe blow off the street.
This hits homes everywhere in the world. All these people listed above seen it
or had a family member who was a victim of Domestic Violence. What you see at
home becomes a little part of you. It shapes who you are in a way. Some people
have control over what and who they become in life. Other’s let it consume them
in the deepest darkest way possible. As a survivor of Domestic Violence from a past relationship it is
not easy to get out. The person who is hurting you wants control over you. They
feed off of your guilt, pain and anger. They have control and power because you
let them. What does love have to do with it? Nothing then again speaking from experience
it has a lot to do with it. You didn’t buy the right food. Walked in the house
to loud maybe you were late coming home from work. You looked the wrong way. It’s
always something in the day and night of a man or woman being abused by a loved
one. It’s always your fault you made them do something. This is not right it’s
not your fault they are an evil person to the core. It’s not your fault they
took a path to be mean to another person. It’s not your fault that they hit
you! They will never change. Please speak up if you know someone who is getting
abuse. Please don’t sit there and watch
your so called friend put his hands on a woman. Don’t sit in your apartment and
listen to your neighborhood beg her husband not to hit her. Don’t stand there on
the street when you see a woman hit a man. It’s not right. DO SOMETHING SPEAK
UP AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE? Only you can make that choice to let it go on.
Only you can help stop it. Please listen to someone who makes that choice you are the person they are going to tell. Don't judge them. Don't make them feel any worst then they already do. Please help listen show them the way to be safe.
